Well there is any type of store here in Singapore! On Orchard street there are numerous malls, three of the largest are right next to each other. They are Wheelock Place, The Ion and Takashimaya. Eac one consists of at least 2 basements of stores and 4 other floors. It is quite easy to get lost but because they are all connected underground by an atria (which also has shops), you just keep walking and you eventually find your way out.i went to Takashimaya yesterday to the Art store. Now I didn't realize that it is a Japenese mall so everything is written in Japanese! It took quite a while to find that store, let me tell you! But it was quite fun looking! It happens to be on the fourth floor, and yes I started in the basement! But it was worth the walk to see all of the amazing stores and food court. Oh and by the way, the food court is as big as our mall in Tyler! So I found my pottery supplies and was on my way, yes I got a little lost but I had given myself plenty of time to get to my pottery class. I am loving my class, we are at the trimming stage and this is very time consuming. Really, I just thought that you made a pot on the wheel, then baked it in a kiln and, tada, you have a pot... But it doesn't work that way I am finding out. The process is very amazing and fun. Two of my pots were at the sanding stage and next time we will glaze them.
I cannot express how much I miss everyone back home but am so grateful to have the opportunity to be here with Mike. Please go out today and do something nuce for someone, it doesn't have to be anything big in your eyes but it just might be something big in someone else's eyes and God will be smiling. Love to all.
