It is so much more fun to explore Singapore with someone rather than being alone! I am so fortunate to have met some wonderful people while I have been here! Today I went with Mariann, Jenna, Logam and Jackson t the Chinese Gardens. We met up together on the MRT and spent the afternoon walking around the gardens. There was a Bonsaii Garden where one tree was 150 years old. There were monitor lizards walking around (they tell you to stay away from them- not a problem for me!). These lizards can be very large and they ignore you as long as you leave them alone and stay away from sir habitat. There was an amazing bridge and a building that resembled a boat. Of course, in the middle was a large pagoda that you could actually walk steps to the top! Look closely and I am sure you will see Mariann, Jenna and the boys at the top! We also went to a turtle museum... It was amazing! Some turtles were in water aquariums but many turtles were free to roam about the place. We bought lettuce to feed the turtles and it was so fun watching the kids. There are 3456 different varieties of turtles and tortoises here and that makes it a Guiness Book Record! Then we waled around more of the garden and came up in the Eight Legendary Chinese Heroes... Beautiful statues that were originally at Merlion Park, then relocated here. It was a wonderful day in a beautiful place. We ended the day by meeting our husbands after work at the new Jem Mall in Jurong East for supper.
