CB&I Family Fun Day At Fort Canning Park, Singapore

We had another great sunny Saturday together! This time we went to a family fun day sponsored by CBI at Fort Canning Park. It is a beautiful place! We arrived at the base of the park and then walked the 159 steps to the top, WHEW! They had games for the kids, a dunking booth, popcorn, drinks, and lunch provided for us. They had music and entertainment in the form of a talent show, which was quite entertaining and fun. The residents from Sun Love were also there, and the money raised was given to them. I think they raised over $2500 for the Sun Love Home! We definitely enjoyed it. We even tried the ice-cream... The flavors were corn and red bean... I have to say it was a very interesting taste that I will NOT be trying again! I thought corn and beans were vegetables and not dessert! I like my red beans over rice please with a little Tabasco on the top and cornbread on the side... Not as an ice-cream dessert! We then walked over to the Funan Digital Mall which houses every type of electronic that you can imagine... Very interesting indeed! Then we walked past a beautiful church and into Raffles Mall where we had coffee and donuts at JCo, yummy! We also saw a Sushi restaurant where the food passes by you on a conveyor and you pick out what you want... Very interesting. On the way home we came across some Boy Scouts and I could not resist taking a picture, they are so cute and they act just like Boy Scouts from the US!
